My Top5 Aegyo

Ok, this is absolutely unrelated to Japan or lyric translations but lately I have trouble finding songs that I really like and that I wanna translate so I got bored ^^

Some of you may be well aware of what “aegyo” means, some others may have read this word for the first time.

Of course, Google can be a better help and you can search there to understand the meaning. But to put it simply, we can say it’s a cute attitude and appearence that can be often seen in the K-pop idol world but can be seen also among normal people.
This sort of cuteness is supposed to make persons (both guys and girls) absolutely adorable and liked a lot independently of their beauty.
An aegyo person can be more attractive than other persons who are more beautiful.

This is the japanese version of the song that won every korean music shows for weeks. I think it’s really cute(and sad) just as much as the korean version. Enjoy!

Aisha ft. Chehon – Kono Koe Karashite

Another (not recent) song with strong meaning from Naruto. That anime got very good openings and endings for sure!
“koe wo karasu” is an idiom meaning “shouting yourself hoarse”. When you scream so much that your throat hurts.
I translated it “till I have voice” in the song..but you will surely understand what the singer means ^^

English Translation

Regret and sadness have repeated many times
I have been tricked by the weakness of yesterday
There is no time to look back at the past
I overcome the pain of the wounds
I want to try to verify my value
