While waiting for a song I like that I feel like translating, another Off Topic post 😀
Lately I read about the news that 4MINUTE are going to disband soon cause 4 out of 5 members didn’t renew contract with CUBE Enterteinment.
They are the group that got me into Kpop so it’s a really sad news for me. Considering that in the last months 2NE1 already disbanded and that f(x) are close to be dead.. well.. the groups I like the most are gone 😦
If you think about it, this is something that can happen to every existing kpop group. 4minute were created no more than 8 years ago but they are already disbanding even though I think they were selling just fine.
So go to listen to your bias group and think that they can suddenly disband 😀
Ok, this is absolutely unrelated to Japan or lyric translations but lately I have trouble finding songs that I really like and that I wanna translate so I got bored ^^
Some of you may be well aware of what “aegyo” means, some others may have read this word for the first time.
Of course, Google can be a better help and you can search there to understand the meaning. But to put it simply, we can say it’s a cute attitude and appearence that can be often seen in the K-pop idol world but can be seen also among normal people.
This sort of cuteness is supposed to make persons (both guys and girls) absolutely adorable and liked a lot independently of their beauty.
An aegyo person can be more attractive than other persons who are more beautiful.
Every year I am used to make a video chart of the japanese and korean songs I liked the most during the year that just finished. So, this year is no exception.. and here my 2015 video chart!!
I don’t listen only to J-Pop/J-Rock but also to Kpop. I think it offers something that japanese music doesn’t offer and its sounds reminds me of the music that I was used to listen to when I was young, that is basically my fav genre of music. Depending on my mood, there are periods where I listen mostly to J-Pop/J-Rock and periods where I mostly listen to Kpop. but I had the feeling that the level of music dropped in the last pair of years.
J-Pop often sounds the same. It’s not so strange that new songs are very similar to songs 7-8 years older. That’s one of the reason that pushed me toward Kpop. Kpop is usually more innovative but lately it seems like they wanna copy american music a bit too much.. Maybe some of you like it, but I don’t 🙂 Read the rest of this entry
